Funeral Services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday 2/2/22 at Adaton Baptist Church in Adaton, MS with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon until 1:00PM Wednesday 2/2/22 at Adaton Baptist Church. Mr. William Eckford Whitehead born on May 4, 1938 reached his eternal home on January 30, 2022 at the age of 84 and was welcomed by his Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral Services were held 1:00 PM Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Adaton Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Hal Selby officiated. Pallbearers were; Justin and Joshua Oswalt, Doug and Dale Rowlen, Danny Waltman and Rodney Rowlen. Honorary Pallbearers were the members of the Men's Sunday School Class at Adaton Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Margy L. Henderson Whitehead. Together they enjoyed a wonderful life which included their owning and operating City Glass Company from 1984-2006. Their retired lives were filled with cruises, MSU Sports, MANY fishing trips, days of camping, wood working and family and friends. William was a faithful servant in his church. For many years William greeted each member and guest with a bulletin and a warm welcome, along with his contagious smile. William was preceded in death by his parents; Roy Oswell Whitehead and Georgia Pearl Edwards Whitehead, his sister Dorothy Jean Thompson, his brothers; Charles Leonard Whitehead and George Oswell Whitehead. He is also preceded in death by his granddaughter Kimberly Rene' Oswalt. He is survived by his daughter Robin Renee Oswalt (Lee), his son William Terry Whitehead (Lenie), his step daughter Vikki Lynn Pileki (Jay), his sister Erma Lois Booth, his brothers Roy Enmond Whitehead (Jean) and Billy Joe Whitehead (Jeanne). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Ashley Whitehead, Justin Oswalt, Joshua Oswalt, Juliana Oswalt Spann, Tyler Whitehead, Tanner Whitehead and Anna Pilecki along with his great grandchildren Jordan Whitehead, Carolynn Faye Whitehead, Briggs Oswalt and Kimberly Jane Spann. Memorials may be made to St. Judes, Alzheimer's Society or Adaton Baptist Church
