Charleston, MS Howard Wayne Rodgers, 78, retired carpenter, died October 30, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Saturday November 4, 2023 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Shady Grove Methodist Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Rev. Hugh Bland officiated. Pallbearers were Taylor Yarbrough, Tim Yarbrough, Keith Sutherland, Michael Rodgers, Trace Rodgers and Troy Rodgers. The Graveside/Committal Services were held in the Chapel instead of Shady Grove Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents; Acey Russell Rodgers and Annie Lois Guest Rodgers, two sisters; Mae Rodgers Freshour and Mavis Rodgers Woodward and six brothers; Charles Rodgers, Vernon Rodgers, A.C. "Took" Rodgers, Kenny Rodgers, Clovis Rodgers and James Robert Rodgers. Wayne leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
