Darold Mixon

Thomas Darold Mixon age 60, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Oktibbeha County Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. He was born on September 23, 1963 in Eupora, MS to Thomas Edward Mixon and Bobbie Jo Wilson Mixon. Darold spent his career working in furniture manufacturing and raising hogs and cattle. He loved animals, especially his most recent pets, Petey and Otis. Funeral Services for Darold will be held at 6:30PM Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 5:00PM until service time at 6:30PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will be at Montevista Cemetery in Webster County, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Montevista Cemetery.  Rev. Willy will officiate. Darold is survived by one sister; Patsy (Barry) Mims, two brothers; Devin (Monica) Mixon and Allen (Verla) Pepper and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; Thomas Edward Mixon and Bobbie Jo Wilson Mixon and one sister; Libby (Danny Paul) McMullen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials to Darold be made to the Cross of Christ, P.O. Box 433, Eupora, MS 39744 or your local animal shelter.
