Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Friday 5/5/23 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the North MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of North MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until 2:00PM Friday 5/5/23 at Oliver Funeral Home. Thomas Glen Berry passed away at his home in Mathiston, MS, on Tuesday, May 2,2023, following a brief illness. Glen was born on September 12, 1946, to Gerald Glen and Bernice Inez Rushing Berry. Glen was the oldest of three children: Janice (Deloy) Crowley and Shirley High. Glen graduated from Mathiston High School in 1964 and went on to Wood Junior College and Mississippi State where he received his bachelor's degree. After many years of working in Agricultural Business, he moved to the Mitchell Memorial Library on the MSU campus as Building Supervisor. After retiring from the library, Glen spent his time working on the family farm. Glen was also very proud of his military service. He spent twenty years in the Army National Guard, serving primarily at Camp McCain in Grenada where he made many valued friends. He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Cynthia Gammill Berry, three sons: Adam Berry (Sarah) of Mathiston, MS, Gerald Berry (Jessica) of Texas, and Jason Ashley (Beth) of Alabama. He was also the beloved, “Gramps” of a host of grandchildren. Glen will be sorely missed! Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Friday 5/5/23 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS. Dr. Wade Stevens, Bro. Dudley Vance, and Bro. Brad Winfield officiated. Pallbearers were; Kris Bell, Jeffery Crowley, Andrew Rodgers, William Spencer, Erik Adams and Brannon Armstrong.
