Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, 4/15/22 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS with burial at Bluff Springs Cemetery in Choctaw County, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held in the Chapel instead of Bluff Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon until 2:00PM Friday, 4/15/22 at Oliver Funeral Home. Mrs. Sylvia Murphy Burton, 88, retired homemaker, died 4/12/22 at her residence. Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Friday 4/15/22 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bluff Springs Cemetery in Choctaw County. Bro. Martin Jacks officiated. Pallbearers were; Travis Hill, Brandon Phelps, Anthony Burton, Bryan Burton, Kevin Shannon, and Joe Burton. She was a member of Wood Springs Baptist Church in Choctaw County and was preceded in death by her parents; Nason and Opal Murphy, her husband; John Lewis Burton, her sons; Billy Joe Burton and David Randell Burton. Mrs. Sylvia is survived by her daughter; Kathy (Lynn) Burton, Ackerman, MS and her brother; Terry (Lucretia) Burton, Ackerman, MS, her sister; Kathleen Hunt, Midland, TX, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
