Sue Hughes Hall

Sue Carroll Hughes Hall age 89, passed away at her home in Eupora, Mississippi after an extended illness surrounded by loved ones on June 21, 2024. Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM on Monday, June 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Eupora, MS. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM on Monday, June 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Eupora. Interment will be at Eupora City Cemetery in Eupora, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at First Baptist Church instead of Eupora City Cemetery. Rev. Travis Gray and Rev. Hugh Bland will officiate. Sue was the devoted wife of Dean Hall for 72 years. She was the loving mother of Dr. Beth Sewell, Starkville, MS and Dr. Dan (Amy) Hall, Eupora, MS. She was the grandmother of Elizabeth (Brian) Palmer and Sarah Beth Sewell, the great-grandmother to Emma and Eliza Palmer. She is also survived by her sister, Lady Hughes "Tootsie" (Sterling) Doolittle and many nieces and nephews. Sue is preceded in death by her husband; Dean Hall, parents; Smith and Mary Sue Hughes, son-in-law; Billy W. Sewell and brother; Gayden Hughes. She was born on November 09, 1934 at home in Walthall, Mississippi. She and Dean resided in Eupora where she was involved in many community activities and was a member of First Baptist Church in Eupora, MS. She enjoyed watching sports, going to the beach, working in her yard, and playing bridge. Sue cherished her family and friends and she was exceedingly grateful and proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as her extended family. Oliver Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eupora First Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
