A "PRIVATE IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS ONLY" Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday 7/28/20 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Clarkson Cemetery in Webster County. Close Friends visitation will be 12:45PM until 2:00PM Tuesday. Due to several family members being at risk for COVID, the family respectfully asks that participants, WEAR MASKS, PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING, AND KEEP CLOSE CONTACT TO A MINIMUM. Brandon, MS Mr. Sidney Hugh Easley, 73, retired Vice President of Mississippi Home Corporation, for the State of Mississippi, died 7/23/20 at his residence in Brandon. Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Tuesday 7/28/20 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Clarkson Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Bro. Charles McClellan and Carlton Rowlen officiated. In 1969 Hugh earned a Bachelor of Science from the College of Business and Industry at Mississippi State University, in 2002 he earned his Certified Grants Specialist from the National Grant Writers Association, in 2003 he earned his Masters of Public Policy and Administration from the College of Arts and Sciences at Mississippi State University. He was a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from January 1984 through December 1987 and was a Graduate of the John C. Stennis Institute of Government at Mississippi State University. He was a Mason, member of Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood, MS and was preceded in death by his parents; Vernon Webster Easley and Susie Thelma Gammill Easley, his first wife; Betty Cook Easley and son; William Wade Easley and brother; Vernon Coy Easley. Hugh is survived by his wife; Mary Jacq Watson Easley, Brandon, MS, two sons; Richard (Amanda) Easley, Flowood, MS and Daniel Easley, Brandon, MS, two sisters; Margie Pepper, Eupora, MS, and Glenda (Larry) Parker, Jackson, MS, a brother; W. C. (Barbara) Easley, The Villages, FL and five grandchildren
