Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Tuesday 5/23/23 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in North Union Cemetery in Bellefontaine, MS. Visitation will be 5:30PM until 8:00PM Monday 5/22/23 at Oliver Funeral Home and Noon until 2:00PM Tuesday 5/23/23 at Oliver Funeral Home.Robert Robert Oris Pittman, 79, retired employee of Wonder Bread, died 5/19/23 in a car accident with his loving wife Laraine. Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Tuesday 5/23/23 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in North Union Cemetery in Bellefontaine, MS. Rev. Willy Weddle and Rev. David Wise officiated. Pallbearers were; Jerald Knight, Michael Knight and Matt Knight, Anthony Norwood, Joe Hays and Danny Robinson. Robert was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, MS and attended Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; Travis Oris and Annie Pounds Pittman, and step-father; A. C. Pounds. Mr. Robert is survived by his daughter; Carol Pittman (Lee) Berryhill, Bellefontaine, MS, two sons; Mike (Peggy) Pittman, Mantee, MS and David (Lisa) Pittman, Bellefontaine, MS, sister: Patricia Wilson, Eupora, MS, 9 grandchildren; Melony Berryhill, Lakin (Cliff) Davis, Austin (Erin) Pittman, Emily (David) White, Kristen (Rush) Valentine, Chance (Sydney) Pittman, Jennifer (Daniel) Scott, Matt Berry and Emily (Jamie) Edwards, 12 great grandchildren Mackenzie Beach, Jocelyn Davis, Robert Owen Davis, Brantley Sprayberry, Gentry Sprayberry, Wyatt Carmichael, Westyn Carmichael, Mary Shelton Valentine, Kinley Scott, Kalee Scott, Kimber Scott and Matthew Berry, and a host of half brothers and sisters. Mr. Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was known to most as daddy, papaw, or bread man. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and always put others above himself.
