Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Sunday 11/26/23 at the Starkville First Baptist Church Outreach Center in Starkville, MS with burial in Clarkson Cemetery in Webster County, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at the Starkville First Baptist Church Outreach Center instead of Clarkson Cemetery. VISITATION WILL BE 1:00PM UNTIL 2:00PM SUNDAY 11/26/23 AT THE STARKVILLE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OUTREACH CENTER. Eupora, MS Robert Cox Deweese, 78, Businessman, died 11/22/23 at North MS Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Sunday 11/25/23 at Starkville First Baptist Church Outreach Center in Starkville, MS with burial in Clarkson Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Pallbearers were; Ricky Deweese, Randy Deweese, Tommy Cox, Chris Hubbard, Harold Cork and Robert Clark. He was a member of Starkville First Baptist Church and the Burean Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his parents; Garland and Willie Ross Cox Deweese. Mr. Robert is survived by his wife; Sherry Henley Deweese, Eupora, MS, daughter; Stacey (David) Fiser, Oxford, MS, two sons; Brent (Jenny) Deweese and Michael Chandler both of Starkville, MS, eight grandchildren; Garland, Will, and Reagan Fiser, Ashton and Cohen Deweese, and Camden, Garrett and Grayson Chandler. After graduating from Mississippi State University with an engineering degree, he worked at Garan Manufacturing, before beginning his business career. In 1977 he opened, owned and operated Deweese Apparel Business in Starkville, MS until 1993 and in 1989 he opened Deweese Gun, Pawn and Trophy Shop also in Starkville and in 1997 he opened Deweese Title Loan/Payroll Advance expanding from Starkville to ten different locations. Robert was an avid Mississippi State Fan of all sports, and enjoyed collecting watches, knives and Winchester Rifles. Prior to his stroke, he loved the outdoors, especially the Cox Deer Camp. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of all arrangements.
