An "IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS ONLY" Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Saturday 1/9/21 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston, MS. The Graveside/Committal Service will be held in the Chapel instead of at Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston, MS. Masks must be worn, social distancing maintained and close contact kept to a minimum. Mathiston, MS Mr. Millard Ellis Woods, 89, retired weaving department supervisor at Greenville Mills, in Greenville, MS, died 1/4/21 at North MS Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Saturday 1/9/21 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston, MS. Dr. Ken Parvin officiated. Pallbearers were: Butch Stewart, Carlton Rowlen, Henry, Justin, Jeremy and Jason Flora. Mr. Woods was a member of Mathiston First Baptist Church in Mathiston, MS and was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents; James and Velma Caulder Woods and a son; Millard Ellis Woods II. Surviving Mr. Millard is his loving wife of sixty six years; Elizabeth "Anne" Woods, Mathiston, MS, two sons; Michael Cary (Bonnie) Woods, Mathiston, MS, and Andrew Neal (Jill Shahverdian) Woods, Middleton, CT, a sister; Velma "Violet" (Donald) Moxley, Booneville, NC, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
