Mildred Baker Stephens

Mrs. Mildred Baker Stephens, 83, died 4/10/23 at Fair Haven Nursing Home in Birmingham, AL. Funeral Services were held at 10:00AM, Wednesday 4/12/23 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Rev. Willy Weddle officiated. Mrs. Mildred is survived by her daughter; Sharon (John) Ferrell, Leeds, AL, son; Mark Stephens, Florence, MS, six grandchildren; London Stephens, Stephen, Abigail, John Daniel, Timothy and Joseph Ferrell, three great grandchildren; Jason Courtright, Jaxson and Josie Stephens, three nieces; Margaret Hogue, Shirley and Barbara Shepherd, and two nephews; Thomas and Lloyd Shepherd. She was preceded in death by her husband; J.W. Stephens, her parents; John Thomas Baker and Lora Crowley Baker, two sisters; Doris Shepherd and Mavis Baker, and one brother; Thomas Lee Baker. Mildred was born December 17, 1939 in Eupora, MS. She moved to Jackson, MS and married J.W. where they raised their two children together. After the children were grown, her and her husband moved to Florence, MS. She enjoyed growing flowers, vegetable gardening, crafts of all kinds, cooking, baking, and reading. When her health began to fail, Mrs. Mildred moved to Alabama to live with her daughter, Sharon. She was loved by family and friends. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of all arrangements.
