Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon Wednesday 4/26/23 at Montevista Baptist Church with burial in the Montevista Cemetery. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Montevista Baptist Church instead of Montevista Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00AM until 12:00 Noon Wednesday 4/26/23 at Montevista Baptist Church.Mr. Michael "Mike" Lane, 75, retired Chief Engineer on a River Boat, died unexpectedly 4/23/23 at his residence in Mantee, MS. Funeral Services were held 12:00 Noon Wednesday 4/26/23 at Montevista Baptist Church in Webster County, MS with burial in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Vance officiated. Pallbearers were; Gene Griggs, Shane Scott, Keifer Cole, Shawn Cooper, David Holloway, Joey Wright, Glenn Mason and Chris Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents; A. J. and Josie Lane, his sister; Peggy Lane Gregory and his daughter Pamela Lynn Lane. Mike is survived by his step-mother; Louise Lane, his sisters; Judy (Danny) Robinson and Leigh (Rob) McKnight, his children; Joey (Kayla) Lane, and Giena Lane (Michael) Herrington, his grandchildren; Morgan Lane, Taylor Cox, Autumn Lane, Austin Lane, Jaxon Lane, Malaree Cole and Kiefer Cole, his great grandchildren; Kendall Cox, Cason Cox, Kyleigh Cole, Kaiden Brantley, Kinslee Cole, Marlee Cole and Kashen Cole and his pet dog "Lady". Mike grew up in Montevista, MS and attended Eupora High School He worked many years with SC & F and Archer Daniels Midland as a Chief Engineer. He was a member of Montevista Baptist Church, loved to fish, hunt, dance and make new friends everywhere he went, but above all, Mike loved his family and his God
