Mary Lanelle "Nell" McClure Cotton age 99, passed away peacefully at Trinity Healthcare in Columbus, MS. Mary was born February 9, 1925, in Vaiden, MS to Robert Andrew McClure and Annie T. Montague McClure. She was a retired salesperson for JC Penney. Mary is survived by her two sons; William (Margo) Cotton, Houlka, MS and Robert "Bob" T. (Rhonda) Cotton, Tuscaloosa, AL, four grandchildren; Stephanie Johnson, Camille Cotton, Walter Cotton and Angela Turner and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years; Walter Lee Cotton, her parents; Robert Andrew McClure and Annie T. Montague McClure, a son; James H. Cotton and one sister; Marge Pearson. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Visitation will be 9:00AM until Service time at 10:00AM on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Oktibbeha County, MS. The Graveside/Committal Service will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Bro. Zach Cox and Noah Chism will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kyle Smith, Brody Smith, Clayton Johnson, Will Allen Chism, Ryan Terry and Walter Cotton. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to serve the Cotton family.
