Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday 10/11/23 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Palo Alto Cemetery in Clay County, MS. Visitation will be 5:00PM until 7:00PM Tuesday 10/10/23 at Oliver Funeral Home and 10:00AM until 11:00AM Wednesday 10/11/23 at Oliver Funeral Home. Lesa Kay Rhodes, 65, of Mathiston, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, joining her mother and father in their Heavenly home. She was surrounded by her family. Lesa was born on March 30, 1958 in West Point, MS to Kathleen and Walter Davis. She graduated from Booneville High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in education from Auburn University. She later earned a Master’s degree from Mississippi State University. Lesa had a wonderful career teaching children for over 30 years. She encouraged and enriched hundreds of students with her compassionate and loving spirit. Lesa loved the Lord and lived a life in service to Christ. She was a loving daughter, mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she will be forever missed. Lesa is survived by her loving husband Jim Rhodes. She is also survived by her two daughters, Kathryn (Chris) Callahan of Stantonville, TN and Anna (Wes) Chesteen of Kilmichael; two step-sons, Bill Rhodes of Meridian and Wylie (Bradley) Rhodes of Starkville; two brothers, Fred (Kathryn) Davis of Starkville and George (Becki) Davis of Starkville. Lesa is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Maggie, Audrey, Raleigh, and Hunter Callahan of Stantonville, TN; Samuel and Thomas Chesteen of Kilmichael; and Arley Rhodes of Starkville
