Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Eupora First Baptist Church in Eupora, MS with burial in Wood Springs Cemetery in Choctaw County MS. Visitation will be 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, September 1, 2023 at Oliver Funeral Home and 12:30PM until 2:00PM Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Eupora First Baptist Church. Rev. Travis Gray will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brandon Busby, Stephen Dorroh, Michael Haney, Field Johnson, George Koerber, Charles Stewart, Jr., Lawson Stewart and Adam Wright. Honorary Pallbearers are Dwain Atwood, Ed Baker, John Beard, Michael Davidson, Dr. Charles Ozborn, Keny Paschall, Joe Martin, Mike McCully, Tommy Gladney, Dr. Dan Hall, Chris Hubbard, David Landwirth, Turner Shaw, Bruce Walters and Ruben Walker. He was born on January 17, 1947, to Alvin Dewberry and Gladys Cummings Dewberry. Larry graduated from Maben High School and went on to attend Woods Junior College. Larry was united in marriage with Sandra Wells on February 25, 1967. Their enduring love story became a cornerstone of his life, and together, they built a legacy of cherished memories and shared dreams. From their union came the greatest joy of Larry's life, his son Justin Wade Dewberry, born on February 27, 1977. Justin's marriage to Rebecca brought another layer of happiness to Larry's life, and they, in turn, blessed Larry and Sandra with two wonderful grandchildren, Emerson and Davis. Larry's professional journey was marked by his dedication and hard work. After retiring from the successful Joe and Larry's Tire Service Inc, a business he co-owned for 28 years, he transitioned to become an integral part of Dewberry Insurance Inc. His commitment contributed significantly to the agency's growth and success. Larry's memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and community will forever remain in our hearts. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin & Gladys Dewberry, and his younger brother Ronnie. Larry is survived by his loving wife Sandra Wells Dewberry; devoted son Justin Dewberry, and daughter-in-law Rebecca; cherished grandchildren Emerson and Davis; sister Patsy (Joe) Perkins of Mathiston; brothers Terry (Susie) of Maben and Ricky (Teri) of Eupora; as well as several nieces and nephews.
