Larry Gene Campbell

Larry Gene Campbell, age 73, went to his eternal home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was born on September 27, 1948, to Virble and Christene Campbell in Webster County, MS. He attended 1st grade-9th grade in Jackson, MS; then, he graduated from Eupora High School in 1966. He was an active member of Soul's Haven Church. After graduation, he enjoyed hog farming and raising cattle. Then, he developed an interest in trucking and was the owner of Campbell's Trucking until his health began to decline. As long as he was in good health, he always worked hard to provide for his family. He enjoyed helping others, and he would give someone the shirt off his back. Throughout his life, he was a friend to many, helped numerous people expecting nothing in return and was known as a giver. Larry enjoyed watching westerns & "Gunsmoke", spoiling his Chihuahua, "Lizzy", listening to comedians, southern gospel music and spending time with his family. He thoroughly enjoyed eating ice cream, and he knew the locations of Dairy Queen statewide. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Spencer Campbell, Stewart, MS; 2 sons: Keith Campbell, Eupora, MS; Grady Campbell, Stewart, MS; 3 daughters: Kim Campbell (Leah), Pearl, MS; Bonnie Britt (Sean), Starkville, MS; Christie (Joey) Stroud, Eupora, MS; 8 grandchildren: Dorothy (Candon) Bush, Pearl, MS; Ranna Britt, Eupora, MS; Beth Britt, Pearl, MS; Dillon Campbell, Pearl, MS; Haley Grace, Brianna & Blake Campbell, Pearl, MS; Meredith (Mer Mer) Stroud, Eupora, MS; great grandson: Seanix Bush, Pearl, MS; sister: LaDonna Campbell (James) Caffey, Stewart, MS, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Christene Boatman & Virble Tyson (VT) Campbell; daughter: Jeanie Lorene Campbell; grandson: Jamie Larry Keith Campbell. Memorial Services were held Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 3:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Bro. James Caffey officiated.
