Kyson Spencer Adkins

Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Sunday 11/21/21 at Walthall Baptist Church with burial in Old Bethany Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Visitation will be 12Noon until 2:00PM Sunday 11/21/21 at Walthall Baptist Church. Kyson Spencer Adkins was born on March 15, 2007 to Michael and Tonya Adkins and went to heaven on November 17, 2021. He lived in Bellefontaine, Mississippi and was an eighth grader at Eupora High School. Kyson’s huge smile struck the heart of everyone he knew and his witty personality kept those closest to him laughing and appreciating life’s little moments. Kyson loved life, but there were some things that meant the most to him. Hunting with his Daddy topped the list. Just the other day, Kyson called his daddy (as he did ALL throughout the day) and had a hunting idea. Kyson asked, “Daddy, you reckon if we put some Kool aid powder or cereal in the deer feeder it would do any good?” Kyson had creative ideas that may or may not have worked, but his Instagram was full of pictures of trophy deer because his Daddy never missed a chance to take him hunting. Matter of fact, the two were deer hunting just last Friday. Kyson would have probably said golf was a close second favorite thing to do with his daddy. Sharing the top spot on his list of favorites was snuggling with his momma. Kyson LOVED his momma and being near to her, especially at night. When he was tired, he’d find her in the house and say, “A’right, Momma…come on” and there she was, right by his side, always. Then, there is time spent with his built-in best friend and hero, big brother Cade. Fishing was a mutually loved past time, however Cade laughs when he says he spent more time tying lures to Kyson’s pole or fixing Kyson’s reel from backlash than actually fishing himself. Kyson’s favorite thing to say to his brother while fishing, besides “Dude, you gotta stop rocking the boat”, was “Whoever catches the first fish doesn’t have to buy lunch”. Brothers are the best, but Kyson had a hobby of doing anything he possibly could to aggravate his aunts, Michaela and Geneva. He always had a prank or a joke ready to get their attention which he loved to soak up. From the time he was a little boy, Kyson loved John Deere tractors and his Pop Bo was the best to take him riding on the farm. Pop Bo always had the hook-up for the BIG John Deere tractors which made Kyson so happy. Not second to time spent on a John Deere, was riding a track hoe with Papa Jack who Kyson loved to follow wherever he was working. When it was time to eat, Kyson only wanted Momma Du’s cooking. She spoiled him to the point he would tell his own momma, “it ain’t Momma Du’s” when she tried to make the eggplant casserole that was Momma Du’s Sunday lunch special. While she was number one, the staff at Umi’s must surely know Kyson’s name. The boy loved Umi’s. Mamaw’s specialty with Kyson was shopping sprees. There was never a way to predict what they would come home with because she got ANYTHING Kyson wanted! Mamaw would make a trip to town to pick up take-out food for Kyson and manage to see the need to add a PlayStation card with it. Along with family, Kyson had the best of friends and those guys found a way to be together even when Kyson could not physically be present. Michael and Tonya would hear him yell, “Dude, you gotta get that!” at 3 am as he and his friends were on the PlayStation managing his 10-million-dollar virtual farm! His laughter would fill the house during those late night, ongoing video games. Last, but not least, Kyson loved riding his four-wheeler to take care of his cows and help around the farm with his best buddy, Tank (a moody Boston Terrier), constantly at his side. Kyson is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Tonya Adkins and his big brother, Cade Adkins all of Bellefontaine, Mississippi. Surviving and brokenhearted are grandparents Bo and Duann White of Mantee, Mississippi, Jackie and Eleanor Earnest of Slate Springs, Mississippi, and his doting aunts, Michaela White (fiancé Andrew) and Geneva White of Mantee, Mississippi. Kyson is also survived by many friends, that were more like brothers and protectors, and schoolmates that loved him so well. Funeral services for Kyson were Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Walthall Baptist Church in Walthall, Mississippi with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. and ending immediately before the service. Graveside services were held at Old Bethany Cemetery. Rev. Hugh Bland and Rev. Mike Ramage officiated. Pallbearers were Chris Shea, Clay Springer, Chip Powell, Andrew Rogers, Buck Meek, Chris Hillhouse, Paul Orr and Stephen Edwards. Honorary Pallbearers were Charles Naron, J. C. Montroy, Trent Edmondson, Cody Edmondson and Chad Lucius. The family requests that any charitable donations in Kyson’s memory please be given to Hope Outdoors at P. O.
