He married his bride, Ara Deven Gore in 1996 and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Logistics with a minor in mathematics from Mississippi State University. Kevin spent most of his time raising two children after the blessing of surviving several disabling brain surgeries in 2008. He went on to enjoy spending time in his woodshop making children’s toys and fret work. With the support of his family and close friends, Bro. Hitt completed a Biblical Ministry degree through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and was ordained at First Baptist Church of Eupora, MS where he was a member with his family. Later, he devoted his time to his passion of preaching the word of Christ at “Milligan Springs Baptist Church,” of Kilmichael, MS and sharing his testimony with those ready to listen. As well as ministering to the people of Webster County whom he loved so dearly, through the Webster County Baptist Association food pantry until his most recent illness. The family would like to express their most heartfelt thanks for the expressions of love and kind support that have been shared with them from the people of Webster and surrounding counties over the last fifteen years. We want you all to know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Although the joy he brought to us daily will be greatly missed, we have the assurance of knowing that he is with OUR SAVIOR! 1 Thessalonians 4:13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.
