Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Thursday 10/13/22 at Maben First Baptist Church in Maben, MS with burial in Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Oktibbeha County MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Maben First Baptist Church instead of Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00AM until 11:00AM Thursday 10/13/22 at Maben First Baptist Church. Mr. Jimmy Wayne Makamson, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Self Creek, 10/8/22. Jimmy, a retired truck driver spent over the last 20 years of his career at Flexsteel Industries in Starkville, MS. Jimmy was a family man that epitomized, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Some of his passions included fishing, Bar-B-Queing, fish fries and spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maben MS. He also served as a Deacon of West Heights Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS for many years. Jimmy Makamson lived his faith and because of such, will never truly know the impact his Christian witness had on others. Pallbearers were; Jacob and Will Makamson, Robert Miller, Aaron Spiewak, John Fulgham and Adam Young. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; Herman "H.A." Makamson and Catherine Louise Makamson and two brothers; Ronnie L. Makamson and Robert Doyle Makamson. Mr. Jimmy Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah "Debbie" Young Makamson, Maben, MS, two sons; Jeffery "Jeff" (Dena) Makamson, New Albany, MS and Christopher "Chris" (Susan) Makamson, Ackerman, MS, a brother; Lynn (Kazue) Makamson, Southaven, MS, six grandchildren; Kayla Rogers, Samantha Makamson Spiewak, Chantel Makamson, Jacob Makamson, Ashlyn Faith Makamson and William "Will" Brady Makamson, and three great grandchildren; Michael Rogers, Brynna Rogers and Ella Rae Spiewak
