Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Friday 5/12/23 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lebanon Cemetery in Webster County, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00PM until 2:00PM Friday 5/12/23 at Oliver Funeral Home. James "Jimmy" Latham, Jr., died 5/9/23 at his residence in Mathiston, MS. Funeral Services were held 2;00PM Friday 5/12/23 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lebanon Cemetry in Webster County, MS. Bro. Brad Winfield and Bro. Jason Hubbard officiated. Pallbearers were; James Carl Hubbard, Cliff Ballard, Lath Hubbard, Jason Hubbard, Macon Ballard, Chris Chandler, Evan Chandler and Bailey Chandler. He was preceded in death by his parents; James Wilbert and Dorothy Helms Latham, his sister; Marilyn Hubbard, and his brother in law; Bro. Buddy Pepper. Mr. Jimmy is survived by; his sister; Debbie Pepper, Mantee, MS, his brother in law: James Carl Hubbard, his niece; Kelley (Chris) Chandler, three nephews; Cliff (Krystal) Ballard, Lath Hubbard and Jason (Bailey) Hubbard, three great nieces; Millie Ballard, Mary Helen Chandler and Mari Kenna Hubbard and three great nephews; Evan Chandler, Bailey Chandler and Macon Ballard. Jimmy was born and raised in Webster County. He is a graduate of Mathiston High School. In his young adulthood, Jimmy lived for several years in Little Rock Arkansas and then Houston, Texas where he worked for FW Oil Company. Jimmy moved back to Mathiston about 20 years ago. There he was known for his sense of home decor and caring for his neighbors, friends, and family. He was always quick to give his elderly neighbors rides to doctor visits, hair salons, and grocery stores. Jimmy was also the best pet-sitter for neighbors and family members. He loved pets, landscaping, flowers, music and baking. Jimmy is well-known among family and friends for his Italian cream, red velvet and coconut cakes. He always met people with a smile and encouraging words. Jimmy attended the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Starkville, MS. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and so many friends in Mathiston, MS
