Jeffrey Lee Ray

Jeffrey Lee Ray, age 73 passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, MS with his family by his side. Jeff was born in Kyoto, Japan on May 12, 1950 to Jasper Lee Ray and Virginia Ann Spurgeon Ray. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P:M Friday, February 2, 2024 at Montevista Baptist Church with burial in the Montevista Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Rev. Tim Hudson will officiate. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon until 2:00 P:M at Montevista Baptist Church on Friday, February 2, 2024. Pallbearers will be D.J. Chandler, Austin Chandler, Dylan Chandler, Brent Crowley, Patrick Scott, Phillip Lewis, Dakota Ray and Bond Murphy. Jeff was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired mechanic for Caterpillar Inc. He was a member of Montevista Baptist Church in Webster County, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Lee Ray and Virginia Ann Spurgeon Ray. Jeff is survived by his wife; Cynthia Smith Ray, their children; Jennifer Ray (Phillip) Lewis, Brandon, MS, Justin (Ashley) Ray, Starkville, MS, Dakota Ray, Starkville, MS, Kim (Brent) Crowley, Maben, MS, Jennifer (D.J.) Chandler, Eupora, MS, one sister; Alice Ray (Lawrence) Murphy, Pace, MS, one brother; William Guy Ray, Greensboro, NC, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of all arrangements.
