Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Saturday 2/12/22 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetry in Webster County, MS. The Graveside Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Mt. Moriah Cemetry. Visitation will be 11:00AM until 1:00PM Saturday 2/12/22 at Oliver Funeral Home. James "Virgil" Holland (a.k.a. Rawhide and as Horn), 81, of Eupora, MS, peacefully passed away at home on Friday, February 4, 2022, surrounded by his love ones, after a long battle with COPD. Funeral Services were held 1:00PM Saturday 2/12/22 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Judge Jerry Jones officiated. Pallbearers were; James Robinson, Michael Dailey, Thomas Malone, Kam Shaffer, Mark Vaughn and Larry Hill. Honorary Pallbearers: American Legion Post 69, Columbus, MS, Dr. Drew Anthony and staff of Starkville, MS, Adam Doss, Augusta, GA and Johnny Thomas, Pontotoc County, MS. Virgil was a proud American who served in the National Guard. After serving in the military, he chose truck driving as his profession. Virgil was a Life Time Member of the American Legion, Post 69, of Columbus, MS. He enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo, and spoiling his fur babies. Virgil was preceded in death by: his parents - Theron Holland and Bertha May Holland Cummings; two grandchildren - Roger Kelsey Vaughn and Joshua Edwin Vaughn; and two fur babies - Lizzie and Suzie Q. Virgil is survived by the love of his life and soul mate of 38 years, Virginia "Kay" Leonard Holland; five children - Angela "Angie" Ray (Harold) of Eupora, MS, Carol Vaughn (Mark) of Pheba, MS, Debbie Leonard Rochon of Cottondale, FL, Elmer Leonard (Betty) of Columbus, MS, and Rachel Davis Robinson (James) of Augusta, GA; five grandchildren - Leslie Nicole Burks of Derma, MS, Betty-Lynn Lambert (Nick) of Kokomo, MS, Otis Len Malone (III) Thomas (Katie) of Grenada, MS, Jackie LeAnne Boone (Jasper) of Cottondale, FL, Mark Edwin Vaugh, Jr (Morgan) of Pheba, MS; seven great-grandchildren - Haley Jane Beam, Micheal Orion Dailey, Eli Palmer Burks, Logan Elijah Lambert, Gavin McClain Vaughn, Ryleigh Grace Lambert, and Wyatt William Davis Vaughn; and one fur baby - Ladybug
