Mr. Hollis is survived by his wife; Janet Dontogan Smith, Walthall, MS, one daughter; Stephanie Quintina (Andy) Pumphrey, Houston, MS, two sons; Hollis Lane (Julie) Smith, Jr., Germany, Ernest Franklin Smith, West Point, MS, one step-son; Jeff Wilson, Maben, MS, one sister; Patricia (Marion) Riley, Murfreesboro, AR, one brother; Charles Leonard Smith, Murfreesboro, AR, ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mr. Hollis was a member of the Baptist faith.Mr. Hollis Lane Smith, Sr. age 75 of Walthall, MS passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Mr. Hollis was born to Mr. Hollis Alton Smith and Mrs. Georgia Erlean Kimbrell Smith on December 30, 1946 in Oktibbeha County, MS. Mr. Hollis served his country in the U.S. Army and was a retired welder for Sly Manufacturing in Mathiston, MS. Mr. Hollis is survived by his wife; Janet Dontogan Smith, Walthall, MS, one daughter; Stephanie Quintina (Andy) Pumphrey, Houston, MS, two sons; Hollis Lane (Julie) Smith, Jr., Germany, Ernest Franklin Smith, West Point, MS, one step-son; Jeff Wilson, Maben, MS, one sister; Patricia (Marion) Riley, Murfreesboro, AR, one brother; Charles Leonard Smith, Murfreesboro, AR, ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
