Gretta Cooper, 80, a resident of Eupora went to be with the Lord on Sunday the 22 of May, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora surrounded by her family. Born July 11, 1941 in Payne Gap, Kentucky to Arlie and Evelyn Clower Rose, Gretta was a retired custodian for the school system in Michigan. She was a woman who loved God and her family beyond measure. She was an active member of West Eupora Church of God where she also served as Church Clerk. Mrs. Gretta was a woman of strong faith and showed the love of Christ to everyone she met. She spent countless hours working in various aspects of the church and sharing the message of hope with others. The church alongside her family was the most important thing in her life after retirement. A Funeral Service celebrating her life was held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 2:00PM at West Eupora Church of God in Eupora, MS. There was a visitation held on May 24, 2022 from 12:00-2:00PM at the church. Rev. Jessie Strider officiated the service. Burial followed in the Bobby J. Cooper Cemetery in Webster County, MS. She is survived by her 3 daughters; Wanda (Mitch) Lemaster of Lyles, TN, Valerie (Mike) Reno of Gate City, MI, Sheri Gaza of Lansing, MI, 1 son; Eric Cooper of White Lake, MI, 10 grandchildren; Sara, Michael, Barbara, Rachel, Kyle, Dylan, Emily, Natalie, Allison "Allie" and Martin "Marty", 13 great grandchildren; Lilly, Mason, Blayke, Alice, Emmett, Anabelle, Alexis "Lexi", Kayden, Douglas "DJ", Elijah, Waylon, Evelyn and Autumn. Mrs. Gretta was preceded in death by her parents; Arlie and Evelyn Clower Rose; her husband, Bobby J. Cooper, an infant daughter; Edna Fornash, and 4 grandchildren; Sheryl, Dorothy, Jessica and David.
