Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Saturday 8/12/23 at the Eupora First Baptist Church with burial in the Eupora Cemetery. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Eupora First Baptist Church instead of Eupora Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday 8/11/23 at Oliver Funeral Home and Noon until 2:00PM Saturday 8/12/23 at Eupora First Baptist Church. Glynda Cain Wilson, age 82, left her earthly home and passed to her Heavenly home on Monday, August 7, 2023, in Eupora, MS surrounded by her family. Funeral Services and Eastern Star graveside/committal services were held 2:00PM Saturday August 12th. 2023 at the Eupora First Baptist Church with burial in the Eupora Cemetery. Rev. Travis Gray officiated. Pallbearers were; Clint Hester, Dustin Cabaniss, Trey Chism, Keith Chism, Jeremy Dixon, Tommy Crutchfield, Roy Hitt, Sean Horn, Dustin Carmichael and Stephen Quinn. Honorary Pallbearers were; Gerald Gary, Tom Childs, Brandon Presley, Dr. Charles Ozborn, Dr. Jack Huffman and Lloyd Young. Other Honorary Pallbearers were the Deacons of the Eupora First Baptist Church, members of Glynda's Sunday School Class "Gleaners", members of Ted's Sunday School Class "Ready", Staff of North MS Medical Center and WLTCU-Eupora, Mississippi Home Care, Grand Chapter of the State of MS OES and all Eastern Star members. She was preceded in death by her son: William Keith Chism, Sr. of Eupora; her father: Clifton Stewart Cain of Greenville; her mother: Mattie Zell Drummond of Eupora; her stepfather: Pete Drummond of Eupora; and her brothers: Jimmy Stewart Cain of Eupora and Clifton Thomas Cain, Sr. of Smyrna, TN. She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Teddy (Ted) Gerald Wilson of Eupora; her daughters: Theresa Williams of Kosciusko, Sylvia (Tommy) Crutchfield of Eupora, and Pam (Roy) Hitt of Eupora; her son: Bubba (Sharon) Chism of Mantee; her grandchildren: Jeremy Dixon of Kosciusko, Clint (Stephanie) Hester of Eupora, Mia (Stephen) Quinn of Mathiston, Brittany (Sean) Horn of Eupora, Samantha Cabaniss of Mathiston, Dustin (Sidney) Cabaniss of Eupora, Taylor Hitt of Ackerman. Paige (Craig) Nichols of Ackerman, Shelby (Nathan) Ballard of Mantee, Trey Chism of Mantee, Nicole (Dustin) Carmichael of Starkville, and Keith (Tabitha) Chism of Starkville; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Glynda was born in Utica, MS on August 7, 1941 to Clifton Stewart Cain and Mattie Zell Cain. She spent her early years in Greenville, MS but lived most of life in Eupora, MS. Most of Glynda’s career was spent working in ladies retail. She was the owner of the Green Apple women’s clothing store in Eupora. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Eupora, where she loved being a part of the Gleaners Sunday School class and the WMU Circle. She was also active in Eupora Chapter #261 OES of the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Mississippi in 2013-2014 and was appointed to the Youth Committee of General Grand Chapter in 2021. Glynda, or Granny as she was known to her grandchildren, will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
