Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Saturday 11/25/23 at Mathiston First Baptist Church in Mathiston, MS with burial at Double Springs Methodist Cemetery, Oktibbeha County, MS. Visitation will be 1:00PM until 2:00PM Saturday 11/25/23 at Mathiston First Baptist Church. Mathiston, MS Elsie Pauline "Polly" Nickels Reed Miller, 96, retired bank teller and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died 11/23/23 at North MS Medical Center Long Term Care Unit in Eupora, MS. Funeral Services were held 2:00PM Saturday 11/25/23 at Mathiston First Baptist Church with burial in Double Springs Methodist Church Cemetery in Oktibbeha County. Bro. Tommy Temple and Bro. Archie Goodwin officiated. Mrs. Polly is survived by her daughter; Kathy (Jimmy) Johnson, Maben, MS, her son; Danny (Brenda) Reed, Mathiston, MS, five grandchildren; Richard (Kristin) Reed, Chris (Julie) Reed, Rodney (Emily) Reed, Cliff (Suzanna) Johnson and Miranda (Robert) Washington, fifteen great grandchildren; Mallory, Merideth, Macie, Baley, Anna Blake, Brody, Ames and Roland Reed, Carson, Hatlee, Dawson and Kolson Johnson, and Mason, Mckenzie and Mary Ava Washington, and her brother in law; Fred Nelms. Preceding her in death were her husbands; Roland Reed and Edd Miller, her son; Mickey Loyd Reed, her great grandson; Brooks Reed, and her sisters; Marzelle Stewart, Joy Kilpatrick, Jean Nelms and Shirley Houston. Mrs. Polly was involved in many church activities; the Benevolence Committee, WMU and the Gems. She was also a Sunday School teacher and played the bells at church. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling, sewing, cooking, reading, and the Maben Garden Club, but above all else, she enjoyed loving her children, grandkids and great grands with all her heart. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of all arrangements.
