Earl Oscar Gilliland, Jr.

Mr. Earl Oscar Gilliland, Jr. age 80 of Maben, MS, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Choctaw Regional Medical Center in Ackerman, MS. Earl was born in Webster County, MS on April 9, 1944 to Earl Oscar Gilliland and Dovie Mae Dalton Gilliland. He worked as a welder and in maintenance until retiring and was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church in Webster County, MS. Mr. Gilliland is survived by one daughter, Teresa Lynn Gilliland Waller, Nashville, TN; two sons, William Earl "Bill" (Sonya) Gilliland, Mantee, MS and Greg Gilliland, Maben MS; one sister, Reba Miles, Knoxville, TN; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Womack Gilliland; both parents, Earl Oscar and Dovie Mae Dalton Gilliland; one sister, Dovie Earlene Love and one brother, Joe Ed Gilliland. Funeral Services for Mr. Earl will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Wake Forest Cemetery in Webster County, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Wake Forest Cemetery. Bro. Donnie Buckner will officiate. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of all arrangements.
