Christopher George Britt

Christopher George Britt, 51, of Maben, MS was born in Grenada, MS, to Gene and Sandra Britt on January 19, 1972. He passed away November 15, 2023 at UAB in Birmingham, AL after a brief illness. Chris graduated from Maben High School in 1990. He was a weld mill operator at Plymouth Tube in Eupora, MS, for approximately 10 years. He spent the last 12 years working at PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, MS. In his free time, he enjoyed playing guitar, listening to rock music, woodworking, taking care of his Challenger RT, camping and watching movies with his family. It was an annual tradition to sit around the campfire telling ghost stories. His place of comfort was drinking coffee on the couch surrounded by his many cats. Chris went above and beyond in all things he did. He would drop everything to be there for anyone in need. Chris loved helping his friends and family with projects and sharing the knowledge he collected over the years. Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents Gene Fulgham, Edna Thompson (W.D.), C.D. and Ollie Britt and Great Aunt Doris Pierce. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Fulgham Britt of 31 years; 2 daughters, Haley Britt Pritchard (Tanner), Hannah Britt (Devin). He was the beloved Popaw to Jack Cohen Pritchard and was anticipating the arrival of his second grandchild by Hannah. Chris is also survived by one brother, Ashley Britt of Maben, MS. He was “Uncle Chris” to Anthony Britt, Dylan Blakely, Lindsey Blakely, Ashton Britt, Logan Clayton, Connor Clayton and one great nephew, Layne Britt. Funeral Services were held at 2:00PM Friday, November 17, 2023 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Visitation was from 12:00Noon-2:00 PM prior to the Service at Oliver Funeral Home, Eupora, MS. Rev. Steve Casteel officiated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Oktibbeha County Humane Society, Starkville, MS. Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
