Chad S. Rogers of Nesbit, MS unexpectedly departed this world for the next on Friday June 4, 2021 at his residence. Chad was born in Akron, Ohio on May 22, 1984. Chad loved much. His love for the Cleveland Indians began that night when he watched his first Indians game in his father’s arms. By his first birthday he had also caught Browns fever and loved the Cavs as well. His high school years were spent in Petal, Mississippi where his love for speech and debate was born. For over 20 years he competed on the high school and college circuits with Petal High School, William Carey College, University of Arkansas Monticello, and Mississippi State University. He won numerous honors and made many friends at every level. He was a proud member of Pi Kappa Delta and one of the many highlights of his career was winning the Pi Kappa Delta National Championship in IPDA debate, while his dad listened from the hallway so as not to make him nervous. His greatest love by far was his only child Kai Rogers who survives him. He worked in the restaurant industry for most of his life as a cook as well as in management positions. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Mary and Buddy “Grandpa” Rogers. He is survived by and lives on in the hearts of his family and too many friends to count. His parents Chuck and Shar-lee Rogers of Nesbit. His maternal grandparents Don and Kathy Kline of Reader, WV. His brother Shawn (Larkin) Nygard of Mathiston, MS, his sisters Sonya (Karl) Simpson of Springfield, MO and Sylvette Rogers of Hot Springs, AR. He was the beloved uncle of Blake, Alexis, Aiden, and Jeremiah Simpson, and Silas, Bronlynn, and Ember Nygard. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of his life will be held at Oliver Funeral Home in Eupora, MS on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 1 PM with visitation one hour prior. Oliver Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
