Catherine Jones Beaird

Catherine Jones Beaird age 86 of Eupora, MS passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Catherine was born in Choctaw County, MS on July 19, 1938, to Etheridge D. Jones and Sarah J. Wise Jones. She was a member of Tomnolen Baptist Church and was a retired Office Manager for the Gifford Clinic in Eupora, MS. Catherine was an excellent cook, enjoyed decorating cakes for family and friends, loved to paint, sew and was known as a very crafty person. Mrs. Beaird is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Beaird Rushing, Tupelo, MS; one son, Steven Craig (Janie) Beaird, Eupora, MS; two sisters, Diane Whitehead, Columbus, MS and Frances Rushing, Eupora, MS; three brothers, Durrell (Miriam) Jones, West Point, MS, Glenn Douglas (Susie) Jones, MS Gulf Coast and Bobby Jones, Ruskin, FL and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Beaird; both of her parents, Etheridge D. and Sarah J. Wise Jones; two brothers, Kenneth Jones and Billy Jones and one grandson, Jeremy Roland Rushing. Funeral Services to celebrate Mrs. Catherine's life will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. The Beaird family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Webster Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Eupora, MS. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Webster Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Don Parish and Rev. Chance Parish will officiate the services. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is entrusted with all arrangements.
