Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM Sunday 5/28/23 at Mathiston First Baptist Church with burial in Roberson Family Cemetery in Webster County, MS. Visitation will be 1:00PM until 3:00PM Sunday 5/28/23 at Mathiston First Baptist Church. Bessie Ophelia Arick Roberson, 84, retired Director of Webster Extended Services and homemaker, died May 26, 2023 at her daughter's home. Funeral Services were held 3:00PM Sunday May 28th. 2023 at Mathiston First Baptist Church with burial in the Roberson Family Cemetery in Webster County MS. Rev. Will Livingston and Rev. Chris Barrow officiated. Pallbearers were; Tanner Roberson, Jason Flora, Michael Warnock, Garrett Berry, Rob Roberson, Matthew Roberson and Sheriff David Gore. Bessie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by a daughter; Sherry (Paul) Crowley, Cumberland, MS, two sons; Tim (Jill) Roberson, Mantee, MS, and William (Cathe) Roberson, Talladega, AL four grandchildren; Kimberly (Jason) Flora, Maben, MS, Anna (Michael) Warnock, Maben, MS, Tanner (Ellen) Roberson, Mantee, MS, Chloe (Garrett) Berry, Cumberland, MS, five great grandchildren; Alee Warnock, Peyton Flora, Emery Warnock, Jasie Rae Flora and Owen Berry, two sisters; Laura Morgan, Starkville, MS, Anne Earnest, Cumberland, MS and a brother; Joe Larry (Peggy) Arick, West Point, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband John Thomas Roberson and her parents Everett and Annie Laura Arick and several sisters. Bessie and her husband John lived most of their 60 years of married life in Cumberland where they raised their 3 children. She loved staying home and sitting on her front porch listening to the birds, working in the yard, and gardening. She worked as Director of Webster Extended Services for 30 years before retiring. She owned and operated a cattle operation. she was an active member of Mathiston First Baptist Church. The pride of her life was her family, but especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family asks memorial donations be made to the Mathiston First Baptist Church, P O. Box 260, Mathiston, MS. 39752.
