A "PRIVATE IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY" Funeral/Graveside Service will be held 3:00PM Wednesday 5/6/20 at Curtis Chapel Cemetery in Oktibbeha County, MS. Alice Faye Smith , 83, born April 19, 1937, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2020. She grew up in Sardis, MS and was a resident of Eupora, MS for 59 years. Alice Faye attended MSCW and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in education which she utilized teaching school for over 30 years at Calhoun Academy and in the Eupora Public School System. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Eupora where she was a devoted choir member. Known for her beautiful soprano voice, she was the soloist for many weddings, funerals and church programs. Alice Faye enjoyed socializing with her friends while playing bridge as well as her involvement with UMW and JOY. Most of all, she loved her family. Alice Faye was preceded in death by her husband; Donnell Smith, parents; William F. Jackson, Sr. and Tencie Childress Jackson, and a brother; William F. Jackson, Jr. She is survived by her daughter; Alice Lynn Smith, Reston, VA, her son; Jeffrey (Theresa) Smith, Columbus, MS, her sister; Claire Dell Klyce, Sardis, MS, three grandsons, two great grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.
